I must say I'm not used to being stopped in the middle of the road by goats and cows. In this picture you will see two goats. Look closely at the middle of the picture just to the left of the pole. You will see two goats grazing. I was just parking my car!

The highlight of the evening tonight was a bat. I went to a going away party for one the faculty who has taken a position in Switzerland. -I hope I spelled that correctly-. Anyway all the doors and windows were open as the house where our host lives is a palace and is located on the water with spectacular views of the ocean. A small fruit bat came into the house and became agitated trying to get out. Now with a house of Vets -have no fear!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The super doctors are here and will save the day. One of the doctors knew how to "stun" the bat by taking a towel and waving it. They are blind so I'm not sure how it worked. It fell to the ground and became very still. Then he picked up the bat and we were able to examine it closely. It as very cute up close and not so scary. Then he released the bat outside. YEAHHHHHH. My heroes! Next time I attend a party I will bring my camera. I have met so many gracious and amazing people!
