These are bananas or plantains. Now I have been told over and over the difference but apparently I'm unable to remember these details due to a special disability that afflicts only me.
This is my first "Bird Of Paradise". In the states we pay big $$$ for these. They grow EVERYWHERE in almost every color ranging from deep red to bright yellow in the rainforest.
This was our road in via the Jeep. There were some hysterical photos of a mean bull but I left them out. I did not want his spirit visiting me in my sleep.
